COMMUNIQUE

 

1.   The Government of the Republic of Burundi has just been informed about the circulation of a document on the probable involvement of the European Union in the destabilization of the Republican Institutions of Burundi, in particular the attempt to change regime in Burundi.

2.   The documents refer to serious events attributable to the Delegation of the European Union in Bujumbura and which date from the year 2014, several months before the insurrection and the coup attempt of May 2015. Through these documents in circulation, it is reported that the European Union has financed individuals or organizations involved in the destabilization of the Republic of Burundi. Some of those individuals are currently under international arrest warrant issued by the Justice of Burundi while some of the organizations are no longer registered in Burundi.

3.   These revelations are in addition to other factors which have prompted the Government of the Republic of Burundi to denounce a likely foreign hand in the acts of sabotage of its program to promote peace and democracy, particularly the process leading to the elections of 2015. These recently unveiled documents could validate the thesis that there are some actors from the European Union who have for several years nourished the desire to achieve a change of regime in Burundi.

COMMUNIQUE DU GOUVERNEMENT SUITE A L’ATTENTAT TERRORISTE DE GIKOTO EN ZONE MUSAGA.

 

1.- Dans la nuit de mercredi 16 à jeudi 17 mai 2017, un attentat terroriste a été perpétré contre une famille du quartier Gikoto en zone urbaine de Musaga en Mairie de Bujumbura. Cet attentat visait des jeunes du parti CNDD-FDD, appelé IMBONERAKURE ligue des jeunes du parti au pouvoir. Au cours de l’attentat, trois personnes : Audifax Ndayizeye, Cédric Kwizera et Reagan Harerimana ont perdu la vie. En outre, trois membres d’une même famille à savoir Ladouce Iradukunda, Nice Shurweryimana, et Trifine Kabageni ont été grièvement blessés à la suite de cette attaque.

 

2. Le Gouvernement du Burundi est profondément choqué par cette acte ignoble, condamne avec énergie cette barbarie sans nom et présente ses condoléances les plus attristées aux familles éprouvées.

 

3.- L’attaque survient après une campagne médiatique au service de certaines ONGS étrangères bien connues pour leur rôles actif lors de l’insurrection putschiste durant la période électorale de 2015, période où des atrocités semblables ont été commise contre les sympathisants du Gouvernement en place, particulièrement les membres de la ligue IMBONERAKURE, victimes d’une campagne de diabolisation et de déshumanisation à outrance qui visiblement les préparait à en faire des cibles et victimes légitimes des massacres qui devaient suivre le Coup d’Etat si les putschistes n’avait pas essuyé un échec cuisant.

THE GOVERNMENT OF BURUNDI DENOUNCES AN ADDITIONAL BLUNDER BY FRANCE 24.

 

 

  1. In the night spanning between Wednesday 16 May and Thursday 17 May 2017, a terrorist attack was perpetrated against a family in the Gikoto locality in the urban borough of ​​Musaga in the City of Bujumbura. This attack targeted young people members of the CNDD-FDD party, called IMBONERAKURE, the youth wing of the ruling party in Burundi. Subsequent to the attack, three people: Audifax Ndayizeye, Cedric Kwizera and Reagan Harerimana lost their lives. In addition, three members of the same family, namely Ladouce Iradukunda, Nice Shurweryimana, and Trifine Kabageni were seriously injured as a result of the attack.

  2. The Government of Burundi is deeply shocked by this despicable act, strongly condemns this unnamed barbarity and extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families.

The attack comes amid a media campaign maintained by some foreign NGOs well known for their active roles during the insurrection that led to the foiled coup d’état of 2015, when similar atrocities were committed against government supporters, particularly the members of the IMBONERAKURE youth wing, constantly victims of a demonization and dehumanization campaign which obviously prepared them to be legitimate target and victims
