On Saturday July 1, 2023, Burundi celebrated its 61st anniversary of Burundi's independence. The festivities, at the national level, took place in Gitega, the political capital, under the high patronage of the President of the Re-public of Burundi, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye.
