On Monday December 4, 2023, the Burundian Head of State His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye accompanied by the First Lady, Her Excellency Angeline Ndayishimiye, returned to the country after a work mission car-ried out in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, where alongside his Coun-terpart Heads of State and Govern-ment, he took part in the United Na-tions conference on climate change (COP28) held from December 1 to 2, 2023.
